This piece is a tribute to the Western schoolmarm and the hardships they had to endure working on the unforgiving prairie or mountain slope. This is a school house located in Minnesota. My three cousins modeled as children and my wife became the beautiful schoolmarm.

It was originally created to go on the cover of Colorado Country Life Magazine, a consumer magazine of Colorado Rural Electric.
