Product Description
“I have always wanted to capture in photograph the warm feelings felt on a waning fall afternoon, driving along a mountain highway, fresh after a misting rain, with the colors of the leaves jumping off of the dark pavement. You have done just that with this painting!” exclaimed one lady recently at the Golden Fine Arts Festival, after falling in love with Benjamin’s recent work Autumn Drive. Indeed that was his intent after a drive through the largest aspen grove in the nation, a drive that connects Crested Butte with Carbondale, Colorado. At points along the 100 mile drive, one sits above a sea of gold, orange and red, broken only by the occasional dark green pines, as far as the eye can see. At other points, one becomes part of the system itself, submerging into a host of towering aspen, blanketed by the sound of the whispering tremor of their quaking leaves.
This painting is inspired by the latter and we hope that it encourages you to enjoy the simple moments of life. This painting was also part of a series of paintings created for the University Hospital’s Division of Liver Transplant Center for their annual Christmas card last year.
This piece is available as an autumn A7 card. Want to beat the Christmas rush? Send your friends, clients, family members a quick fall reminder that you care for them and are thinking of them.
