In Colorado and other dry places in the West, an amazing phenomenon occurs where the rain evaporates before it reaches the ground. This is called Virga. My wife and I were enjoying a trip through Buena Vista, Colorado, driving through the vistas, as an afternoon storm began to brew. The scene was so beautiful and so dramatic, that we had to stop and capture it.
